North
Bay Village Legal Department and Dennis Kelly our Village manager did a superb
job researching the legality regarding Al Coletta’s Parking Lot and the Tennis
Club. The research yielded the information necessary that essentially frees Mr.
Coletta to provide the fifteen parking spaces for Mr. Joaquin Ramirez that is
required for his business. The
Commission was unanimous in approving Mr. Joaquin Ramirez’s request to open a
Boat, Jet Ski, Kayak Rental Business at the commercial marina located at 7904
West Drive, Harbor Island. Captain Joe
is coming to Harbor Island, welcome!
Commissioner
Jorge Gonzalez seized the opportunity and attempted to strong arm Mr. Al
Coletta in providing additional parking for the Pet Grooming Business located
at the same address. Mr. Coletta defended his position on this old dispute
regarding the spaces that are marked Marina Parking. Commissioner Gonzalez had the
right idea but his presentation and appeal to Mr. Coletta came out bullish and harsh.
Mr. Coletta graciously agreed to listen to possible solutions but he indicated
that in the past all has failed and Commissioner Gonzalez pledged to continue
to work on the matter.
